PRIVACY SHIELD COMPLIANCE
With respect to Human Resources personal data received or transferred pursuant to the Privacy Shield, Core is subject to the investigatory and enforcement powers of the U.S. Federal Trade Commission.
In certain circumstances, employees who have submitted personal data to Core for Human Resources purposes may invoke binding arbitration when other dispute resolution methods have been exhausted, as described in Annex 1 to the Privacy Shield.
As described in the Privacy Shield Principles, Core remains responsible for any of your personal information received for Human Resources operations under the Privacy Shield and transferred to a third party acting as an agent on its behalf.
In many circumstances, Core conducts business through a network of distributors in locations around the world. In cases where customers and/or potential customers have provided Core with personal contact information (including, but not limited to, name, address, email and telephone) via email, telephone or internet form content, Core may, at its discretion, forward that information along to the distributor responsible for the identified geography.
Core commits to cooperate with EU data protection authorities (DPAs) and comply with the advice given by such authorities with regard to human resources data transferred from the EU in the context of the employment relationship.
Individuals have the right to access their personal information and be able to correct, amend, or delete that information where it is inaccurate, or has been processed in violation of the Principles of Privacy Shield, except where the burden or expense of providing access would be disproportionate to the risks to the individual’s privacy in the case in question, or where the rights of persons other than the individual would be violated. Additionally, individuals have the opportunity to choose (opt out) whether their personal information is (i) to be disclosed to a third party or (ii) to be used for a purpose that is materially different from the purpose(s) for which it was originally collected or subsequently authorized by the individuals. Individuals may communicate with Core HR to exercise this choice. Finally, Core will disclose personal information in response to lawful requests by public authorities, to meet national security or law enforcement requirements.
