Global Health, Fitness and Wellness Company Strategically Shifting Manufacturing to Asia Facility and Leveraging US for Enhanced Customization Resources

Vancouver, WA, December 12, 2018 – As part of the company’s ongoing strategic planning, Core Health & Fitness has decided to shift it’s Virginia operations from manufacturing to customization.  Over the next six to nine months the company will go through a deeper process to shift to a much smaller footprint in Virginia, focused on custom powder coating, upholstery, assembly and light manufacturing.  The company will continue to operate its East Coast Distribution from this facility.

The company’s move capitalizes on the global need for customized product and personalized experiences in fitness.  During 2018, Core has made significant investments in technology and processes to support the growing global trend.

This process will result in several organizational changes, including the planned elimination of approximately 50 positions in Independence, Virginia.  The company will be offering enhanced severance benefits and outplacement services to assist employees’ pursuit of new career opportunities.

“We appreciate the many contributions these employees have made and continue to make to Core,” said Dustin Grosz, company President.  “The actions we are taking now will better position the Company to support our growth while further strengthening our world-leading brands.”
