Global Health, Fitness and Wellness Company Made the Move into Rigs, Racks, and Weights in 2019 and Has Just Announced They’ve Expanded the Category

Vancouver, WA, October 1, 2020 – After announcing the next chapter of the company’s strategic plan last year, Core Health & Fitness has increased its share of the fitness industry by deepening its position in the functional fitness business with an expanded Throwdown portfolio. The additional lines will include medicine balls, bands, kettlebells and bags, amongst several other fitness accessories. The company already participates in the commercial strength training arena with products in a broad array under the Nautilus brand and StairMaster high intensity interval training (HIIT) brand.

“We’re excited about what this integration brings to our established Key Accounts and which will undoubtedly provide value in our direct and distribution channels as well,” said Kevin Malanga, the company’s Global VP Business Development & Customer Finance.  “Adding to our four-corner strategy has really been a pivotal decision over the last few months and we’re really positioned to be able to provide a comprehensive offering that others can’t provide.”

Functional fitness has been a growing category for the last few years, topping many industry lists for annual trends. According to the American College for Sports Medicine (ACSM), training with free weights was identified as the fourth most popular trend for 2020. Their research confirms there’s a multitude of physiological benefits of resistance exercise and that both the time efficiency and effectiveness are the biggest contributors to its position on the trend list.

Jason Leone, the company’s President said, “The initial launch of Throwdown under the Core umbrella was met with such success that I’m delighted to see where this additional step positions us for growth. Core is integrating the additional accessory lines as quickly as possible with the expectation to deliver to our customers in very short order.”
